  1. DM: will probably update on test beam results
    • DM: thin quartz tests will be more difficult because we have 11 ft of air in front
    • DM: Wed we are going to 3 GeV (mistake in slide)
    • DM: the GEMs seem to work really well. We are limited with our current crate setup. We can only work with 2 GEMs.
    • DM: this beam provides up to 3 electrons at a time. For single electron events everything seems to look fine.
    • DM: ultimately we will want to compare our simulations with the data we are collecting.
    • DM: we find about 20% difference from the simulation, which is fairly good.
    • CC: we made an elog on the SB server (link ) if you want to look at data and updates from the test.
  2. Ciprian: Ion chamber positions slides
    • CG: work for this should be fairly straightforward. Interested parties have been identified and will be kept in the loop (Doug and Keith)
  3. Eric: Moller simulations slides
    • EK: fields are implemented and cross checked to produce reasonable results.
    • EK: using the TOSCA dipole magnet map seems to be very important.
    • EK: Sasha is redoing the TOSCA maps after discussions with Jay related to meshing
    • SP: for the G4/G3 comparison, there are points that have a large difference. What is the status on that? EK: waiting to get some output from G3 for comparisons.
  4. Bob: DAQ
    • BM: we have two working configurations: PREX (all crates), injector
    • BM: even with Banks the pan decoding should still work just fine and needs to be checked.
    • BM: 24: injector, 23: CH, 25, 26 are left/right HRS
    • CP: will take a run with the injector setup and will check that the decoding is ok.
  5. Caryn: Injector setup and feedback docdb283
    • CP: new EDM screens for the RTP voltage system is ready. Amali will do some work on this in Jan
    • CP: plan for spring is to run without feedback on Aq.
    • CG: we’ll figure out how to test pan-feedback before Jan 18th
    • System description
    • Installation and Test Plan and Schedule
  6. Schedule for next week: Ciprian Weekly Meeting Discussion Topics
    • Seamus: Tracking and optics
    • Seamus: GEMs
    • Dustin: Integrating detectors
    • Paul: analyzer
    • Adam: Compton
