CREX Main << August 2020 CREX Run Plan
WORK IN PROGRESS
- Please don't worry if there is a needless test on here, or an important one missing, or bad prioritization.
- Lets fix it
Optics and Q2
- Energy Measurement (Doug) (non-invasive)
- Priority High
- I think this is complete. I need to check with Doug.
- Q2 measurement
- Repeat of Q2 measurement, with improved pedestal noise control.
- Detector counting mode.
- S0 trigger
- production raster and beam position
Backgrounds
- Blinded Quartz
- Longish access to setup and back out, but short data taking period (production conditions).
- Reconfigure AT detectors to use blinding cap, attach to US PMTs.
- This will be done during the long beam studies break on Monday
- Integrating measurement for asymmetry measurement
- Counting mode measurement for rate?
- Can we make a plan for yield measurement? Maybe use absolute table top gain measurements?
- Rescattering measurement (~1 shift)
- Detailed Rescattering Runplan
- measure to low dp~15%. Integrating mode? May require bootstrap on detector gain?
- should scale all spectrometer magnets (including septum)
- Once the elastic peak is out of the focal plane, it may be possible turn on the S3 and S0 scintillator. This should be done when possible, and the T1/T2/T3 trigger rate recorded for each run.
- Pole tip re-scattering
- Requires investigation or planning - do we have an idea here?
- Q2 or septum mis-tune, to increase interception on pole tip and improve poletip rescattering estimate
Detectors
- Linearity Studies (PITA + current scans)
- These are ongoing - should continue regularly. ~ 1 hour every 3 days.
- Current scans for detector and BCM pedestals
- Linearity LED tests
- This will be studied post run, during SAD
Other
- Sign check
- perform at next Moller polarimeter measurement
- run Moller, Compton, and parity DAQ for quick PITA scan
- Target/Raster study
Moller polarimetry
- One more measurement
Compton polarimetry
- Flip DOCP???
- No-target runs
- Laser polarization optimization
- Laser polarization flip
- linearity studies
