Getting to Mya/LivePlot
MyaPlot and LivePlot are OPS tools for displaying archived and live-published (respectively) EPICS variables in a simple plotting utility.
CREX has a standard JMenu/General Tools/MyaPlot set up in the OPS account "hacuser". The hacuser is accessible from Hall A computers using the aliased command "NewTools", or directly by executing the command, and following the menus until finding the plotting tools:

Plotting Tools
- MyaPlot - A tool for plotting parameters stored in the OPS EPICS Archive. You can go back as far as data is kept for a given variable
- Doesn't automatically update to keep track with fresh data
- You can take the current set of displayed variables and switch to a LivePlot session through the right-click context menu
- LivePlot - A tool for looking at current data accessible through EPICS, regardless of whether it is archived
- Doesn't go back farther in time than the most recently opened LivePlot session containing the displayed variables
- Panguin - A tool for plotting Parity DAQ Data, live (in "watchfile" mode) or previously analyzed

- Ciprian's Python Plotting tool - Ciprian wrote a MatPlotLib tool for displaying calculated quantities for keeping track of PREX/CREX Collimator temperatures, accessed by doing the following:

cd ~/ciprian
python collimatorInfo.py
- It will display all data from time of launch until the present, giving the collimator In and Out temperatures, and the difference
- These temperatures must remain < 70 C and the difference should not exceed 15 C (if it does then call the RC)
Standard set of Mya/LivePlot Charts
From the hacuser OPS account, in the /usr/opsuser/hacuser/.myaPlot/CREX/
folder, the following strip charts are updated copies from PREX II running:
These plots are intended to provide the shift crew or expert users with enough information to monitor the status of the beam and critical systems, and some are intended for specific beam tuning and accelerator diagnostic purposes.
Halog'd screenshots of these strip-charts can be very useful for determining causes of problems and their best solutions, so keeping the critical ones up at all times and checking them periodically is good operating practice.
- Bold indicates generally useful charts for every day use
- Italics indicate important commissioning charts
- Underline indicates a diagnostic chart, good for checking on potential sources of common problems
Beamline
Charts of parameters directly affecting the beamline and physical components within it
- Beamline_Target-Temperatures-Vacuum: Charts of the Target ladder's hot and cold ladder temperatures and the target chamber's vacuum, with a reference of the Hall A beam current
- Beamline_Temperatures: Charts of the temperature monitors placed on the vacuum beam pipe in Hall A
- Beamline_Vacuum: Charts of the vacuum values in the Hall A beamline
Bleedthrough-Check
Charts of other Hall's parameters potentially corresponding to beam bleed through into Hall A systems (especially polarimeters)
- Bleedthrough-Check_HallB-Halo: Charts of the Hall B Halo monitors, as well as Hall B's current
- Bleedthrough-Check_IIC-Compton-HallBslit: Charts of all of the Compton polarimeter's background rate monitors and average Ion Chambers, as well as the Hall B attenuator settings and current/position
HallA-BeamMonitor
Charts showing BPMs and BCMs, etc. for Hall A beamline monitoring
- HallA-BeamMonitor_AllBPMs-Panels: Has the SEE and Cavity BPMs all on the same axes, in 3 different panels. A bit overkill
- HallA-BeamMonitor_Cavity-BPMs: All in one panel, shows all 3 Cavity BCMs + BCM
- HallA-BeamMonitor_Complement-BPM-Check: 4e BPM with its complement also, for checking that they are the same
- HallA-BeamMonitor_ComptonRates: Compton scintillator rates, 2 of the Compton Ion Chambers, and a BCM signal for reference
- HallA-BeamMonitor_IICs: Critical Hall A Ion Chambers, plus the BCM and Hall A slit value. This is good for tuning up the beam and doing Ion Chamber checkouts
- HallA-BeamMonitor_Raster: Contains the Raster coils' readbacks, set points, and enabled settings
- HallA-BeamMonitor_SinglePanel-Main: The main production conditions strip chart for CREX running, with BPMs, BCMs, and one Ion Chamber
HallA-HRS
- HallA-HRS_Magnet-Readbacks-SinglePanel: LHRS, RHRS, and Septa current readbacks
- HallA-HRS_Magnet-Readbacks-Panels: The same, but in three separate panels
HallA-Tuning
- HallA-Tuning_BPMs-ArcToTarget: All Hall A BPMs, including the Arc ones
- HallA-Tuning_Compton-BPMs-Correctors: Compton BPMs and rates, and corrector magnets. Good for compton tuning
- HallA-Tuning_IICs-BPMs-CollimatorSearch: Ion chambers, and BPMs. Good for the collimator search
- HallA-Tuning_MollerQuads-ComptonRates: Moller quad magnet values and compton rates. Good for tuning the compton and correcting the Hall A beamline
Moller-PQB
- Moller-PQB: A set of variables for Simona during Moller measurements. It includes IHWP and some Parity DAQ Asymmetry numbers
Ops-RadMonitor
- Ops-RadMonitor_HallA: Radiation meters in the hall
- Ops-RadMonitor_Site: Site boundary rad meters from Pavel
Septum-Collimator
- Septum-Collimator_Info-Main-SinglePanel: Septum and collimator temperatures, and the water flow meters all in one panel
