Minutes

• Plastic shielding
  • Some concerns for putting plastic in the vacuum include,
    • Thermal damage : we are able to reduce the power down to about 3 W at 100 uA now and Lorenzo is planning to do a analysis to estimate the upper limit of the temperature due to this power for the plastic in vacuum.
    • Out-gassing in vacuum
    • Get more literature on this
• Magnetic Shielding
  • If we can get TOSCA model from Paul Brindza, Juliette could optimize the magnetic shielding. We have never used TOSCA to do this before.
  • We want to compare the fringe field with added 10 cm at the ends of septum pipe.
  • Then compare magnetic field on/off power in the hall.
