Agenda
CREX Target Position by Seamus elog-2977
Present:
Minutes
Minutes
- Bob will get input from target experts about the proposed scattering chamber design discussed last week
- We are still considering the option of unified scattering angle for both CREX and PREX
- We would also need to decide about Q1 collimator design. Can we use a unified design with minimum access to this area during PREX/CREX transition
- In the elog 2977 linked about Seamus' estimation for the target location is around 30 cm from PREX location but Bob's estimation is about 45 cm
- We need to understand why this discrepancy
- PREX/CREX transverse asymmetry issues
- The aberration seen during PREX-I where transverse detector was sensitive to the non-symmetric phi distribution which could be due to an optics issue
- We need to find this correlation in PREX-I data and then try to reproduce in the optics simulation
- We need to understand this before PREX-II
- Transverse asymmetry estimation for Calcium needs attention
- We can extrapolate (nuclei, Q2 and E) based on H, Al, C, and Pb transverse measurements to estimate transverse asymmetry from CREX measurement.
- The aberration seen during PREX-I where transverse detector was sensitive to the non-symmetric phi distribution which could be due to an optics issue
Misc.
- Beam parasitic studies needs a to-do list
TO DO Lists
- It would be nice to have real-time viewer for optics studies in commissioning (disussed in 01/16/2014 meeting)
