Agenda
- Figure of merit calculation
- Setting up to make comparison to PREX-I results. Should allow benchmark to observed rates, given mistune.
- Requires PREX-I collimator dimensions
- Requires scaling the septum field appropriately for mistune. Might need to generate scale factor for optimum, and mistune around that.
- Plan is to reproduce transfer functions - requires proper setpoint in GEANT sim to match the parameters used to create the transport functions
- Ultimately this should reproduce sieve plots
- A plausible explanation for the conceptual errors leading to the previous treatment of radiative corrections, and we confident that we are now doing this correctly.
- The weekly PREX optics meetings will be revived (9:30-10:30 Tuesday mornings, Seamus, Tyler, Kent)
- Setting up to make comparison to PREX-I results. Should allow benchmark to observed rates, given mistune.
- Ca Target
- There may haven been some confusion in our communication of our plans last week.
- To summarize: we expect this is not a problem, because oxide layers would need to be unreasonably thick to matter. Effect on asymmetry is highly suppressed by close expected value of asymmetries of the possible contaminants. We do plan to scrape the oxide layer off, although the scraping process is expected to be imperfect it will be an improvement.
- Seamus will review our parameters to help summarize at the next meeting. What oxide layer thickness we can live with, etc.
