Agenda
- Cameron: SAM simulation update
- target shift effect and energy shift effect
- Slides
- Wiki Slides
- ELOG (includes excel sheet with ratio data)
- CC: looking at the solid angle for different configurations can give some indication for the change in radiation levels. KP: I think there should not be that large of a difference in solid angle. CC: will check the solid angle equation and should probably convolute the beam profile. KP: could be an interesting exercise but it really not relevant. PK: we can discuss the solid angle definition, because it is definitely wrong
- CC: the no SAM configuration increases by 2% for the US target move and a total of 8% for both target move and energy lowering.
- CG: the CREX numbers don’t make sense. CC: will double check why including the SAMs lowers the radiation in the hall. On closer inspection the ratios are dominated by the statistical uncertainty of the CREX simulation, meaning that the CREX number with and without SAMs are the same within error bars.
- see /work/parity/disk1/moller12gev/cameronc/masterPrexSim/output/data_FINAL_2018-07-31_post-collab-meeting for raw hallRad.root output data summaries
- target shift effect and energy shift effect
