Agenda

  • Goals for this meeting
    • This will be taking over for the PREX2 WAC meeting, and this is intended to be a much more focussed discussion than
  • PREX-2 runlist spreadsheet: [1]
  • Status check on various analyses. (Many of these topics are not started yet, but have been or will be discussed soon)
    • Tao : additional combined plots looking at statistical self-consistency
      • Started to set up some macros; he is beginning to add elements to query the RCDB to get the run list, spectrometer arm status, etc.
      • Tao is partially waiting on finishing the updates to the RCDB
      • Cameron says that there is a script to help cross-checking that we have marked the single-arm runs.
      • Cip and Sangwa also think that the single-arm running was flagged pretty well during the run.
      • Kent makes the point that we need to have some way to document when plots are made, and what the dataset definition was for those plots.
      • Do we have plots of the multiplet plots all chained together at the slug level? Looking at how gaussian the distribution is, etc...
        • We think have so far just looked at run-level distributions
    • Weibin and Tao: table of cuts.
      • They have started to make a summary table of the cuts
      • Maybe create multiplet plots with all the runs in a slug chained together. Weibin will look at modifying the run-level plotting tool to make the slug-level plots.
    • Robert: pedestals
      • He's started looking at extracting the pedestal histories
      • He should make sure to include the single-arm markers for which runs to look at in the spectrometer pedestals
      • One of the things to look at is when we have "big" changes that we understand what the conditions were on either side of the change
      • Devi says there were only a few times at which we changed the HV
    • Victoria: beam modulation (raw data quality, residuals)
    • Devi: blinded tubes
      • He is working on getting new beam-off pedestals for the blinded tubes
    • (Cameron?): analog BCM consistency during periods of oscillation
      • A question is: is the mean of the BCM asymmetries during the periods of extra noise in the BCMs consistent with the other BCMs?
    • Overloaded regression (Tao?)
      • If you do regression with lots of extra variables, how does the corrected width behave?
      • What are sources of noise in the regression analysis?
      • Tao has some tools ready for this, buyt maybe will pass it to someone else. Kent and I will discuss how to incorporate this in the respin.
    • Need help with pair plots, stripline and cavity and complementary bpm resolution and performance.
    • Other topics please add to list!
