This meeting immediately follows the PREX2 Analysis meeting, which is dedicated to tasks directly related to the PREX-II analysis.

Agenda

Analyzer code updates

  1. Paul's work on analyzer updates had stalled last week

Prompt analysis toolchain

  1. WAC checking of parameter files, etc.
    • Devaki was going to carry Catherine's analysis (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3726581) summarizing the normalization BCM changes after slug 68. She sent it to Tao, and he's posted it in the HAPlog
    • She will also be looking at the double-differences to piece out when various BCMs went bad, and figure out which double-differences we can trust
    • For the double-differences, we look at the RMS, but we also care about the central value
    • The question of "can we trust BCMs when they are noisy" is a separate question that Cameron is working on. For this analysis, we should exclude double -differences when they are noisy
  2. Status on the farm
    • Robert is getting the output directories ready.
      • How much space are we using in the web directory? Can we keep the PREX prompt, PREX respin, and CREX plots all at once? Robert will look into that
    • I had forgotten to look into requesting more volatile space last week; should follow up this week
  1. Path to migration to japan
    • We won't wait on the migration to start the PREX-2 respin
    • For CREX, we want JAPAN to do correlation/correction done on mini-run basis, BMW extractor
  1. Dithering analysis status & updates?
    • Victoria is working on getting the "blessed" set of dithering slopes for all production runs
    • Kent brings up doing a "residual correlation" analysis of the modulation asymmetry data, especially with the coil that was not used in getting the slopes
  2. Lagrange analysis
    • Maybe merge this with dithering analysis in some way? At least for the sensitivity/slope evaluation. Cameron will take a look at connecting it into the dithering toolchain as an additional step.
  3. Other issues
    • Tao asks if the combiner trees can have a summary tree too. I think that should be possible. It may need some of the changes in the data-exchange branch I'm working on, Tao has posted a Github issue (#248)

Other issues

    • Let's aim at getting everything ready for a respin by October 23 soon.
      • We should have some understanding about the pedestal changes before we start
      • We also need to have the "blessed" set of dithering slopes for all production runs
      • We will use the same set of normalizing BCM as we used during the run
    • Are we doing things to fix the analog BCM?
      • Cameron has a function generator from J. Musson, to first check linearity at up to 150uA equivalent, but could also use it to check for the appearance on the noise in the BCMs
    • The PREX-2 raw data has been moved to adaq2 disk; Paul should make a set-up script to analyze those runs on adaq
