Present:

Optics study done by Nickie compared g4sim and HAMC and results agree with current available tune.
- Guido student also working on the magnet transportation (SNAKE) for PREX/CREX
- We need CREX target position and collimator bore radius immediately for engineering work
- We will need to have a common Q1 collimator design to prevent changing it between PREX and CREX. This is due to lack of access between septum and HRS
Check the geometry of the dump - Rakitha and Lorenzo
- We may not need to keep tracks after about 3 m into the dump therefore we could add kryptonite.
Use HAPPEX-II as our benchmark
- For now we can use the same septum fringe field as PREX-I as well as same septum geometry. Collimator and beam pipe are also same as PREX-I
Some comments about the PREX/CREX readiness and schedule
- In the fall 2015, Tritium will not going to happen due to beam time constraints. Therefore short experiment will needs to be replaced. It appear that APEX will run in Fall 2015
- That left DVCS, Tritium, PREX and CREX starting Spring 2016
- Our position regarding PREX would be we are ready to go to the floor any time from Fall 2015
- Since we changed the optics tune for PREX, we need to have physics tracks simulated through septum field all the way into detector plane to confirm the profile of scattered electrons.
- Our goal is to have PREX ready standalone for any special case otherwise PREX+CREX compatible design ready for Spring 2016

It would be nice to have real-time viewer for optics studies in commissioning (disussed in 01/16/2014 meeting)
