Agenda
Dustin : Neutron energies exiting material: MCNPX versus G4 for Cu and W elog-2919
- Present:
Rakitha, Dustin, Paul, Lorenzo and KK
Minutes
- The agreement of neutron production and enrgy spectrum between MCNPX and Geant4 is very good as seen from the analysis summary in the elog-2919
- As a further step Dustin will do the Neutron simulation for Copper-Tungsten 70 compund.
- What is the best possible benchmark for the integrated radiation from PREx-II?
- KK proposes that we should come up with a design and provide it to JLab engineers to come a conclusion. If there is a radiationissue can we come back to it later?
- From last week discussion with Bob, he thinks we should benchmark with a standard hall A experimental setup (ex HAPPEX target and collimator)
- This issue is mainly related to the neutron production at different sites from electron interactions and these neutron damaging various equipments in the hall.
Misc.
- From Last Meeting
- Beam parasitic studies
