Production Run List Swing 2019/07/21 - 2019/07/22 Owl
Start Slug 11, IHWP Out, FFB on always, no RHRS on 3564, junk until 3566
- Dangerous Junk - 3564: HVs off on left arm - don't analyze, as it will confuse and reveal blinder due to bad pedestals/null signal/blinding confusion
- Dangerous Junk - 3565: ""
- Good - 3566: Begin production on slug 11, bcm width is quite large - 200 ppm, and minirun 4 has 185 USL ppm width, which is inexplicable as far as I can tell
- Good - 3567: large beam trip at end, BCM width got better this run
- Good - 3568
- Good - 3569
- Good - 3570: Aq ~ 0.5 ppm
- Blinder failed, needs cuts - 3571: Needs cuts to recover
- Good - 3572
- Needs cuts - 3573: Charge feedback went off for some events - needs cuts
- Good - 3574: BPM 12 slips during FFB off times
- Good - 3575
- Good - 3576
Non-Production Runs and Bad Runs
- Dangerous Junk - 3564: HVs off on left arm - don't analyze, as it will confuse and reveal blinder due to bad pedestals/null signal/blinding confusion
- Dangerous Junk - 3565: ""
- Blinder failed, needs cuts - 3571: Needs cuts to recover
- Needs cuts - 3573: Charge feedback went off for some events - needs cuts
Pedestal/Calibrations Updates
Issues
- There is slowness in the computer system - Ole thinks it has to do with a combination of heavy ethernet load, heavy Cache usage, and a poorly calibrated Scheduler
- Caryn is working on pedestal studies
- Caryn is also working on investigating Aq double peaking in the injector
New Cuts
Applying detector Volts/uA cut to remove HV trips (LHRS 3564-3565) globally, and Quad mistunes and non-normalization (Slug 8->) locally
Looking at the effect of global, generous position yield cuts
Other Status Updates
- Accumulated charge = 11.33 Coulombs, 1.03 x PREX 1 statistical error bar
- Slug 11 is the final with the old PREX 1 quartz - from here on we are using different quartz: HALOG
- Major slowness in adaq1 investigation
- Panguin as a test, 20x longer on adaq1, ps says its in nfs_wait mode
- logging all users out seems to fix it - (Cameron's theory is that ctrl+Z's processes were laying around everywhere and were occupying nfs file system attention that shouldn't have been)
- LHRS Counting Mode analyzer has major slowness
- Catherine has gone through permutations of BPM regression sets and has found that 11X is superior to 12X
- The RQ2 has some issues, largely to do with accumulated condensed/depositted/melted water around the quench detection circuit
