Open Panguin

  • Check if an instance of panguin is already running on the machine.
  • If not, open a terminal and follow the steps below:
    • Type "ssh apar@aonl1 -Y".
    • Enter the password when prompted.
    • If you do not know the password, ask the analysis shifter.
    • Type "panguin". A GUI window will pop up.
    • Click on the radio buttons to choose which plots to look at.

Analysis Shifters

Analysis shifters should open a different panguin window to monitor runs.

  • ssh to apar@adaq2
  • Enter command gojapan
  • Do cd panguin
  • Then you can run ./build/panguin -f macros/<some config file probably ending in .cfg> -r <run number>
    • A good macro file will likely be some variation of cwac_checkrun.cfg. Do note that as of 2019-06-21 this macro doesn't work due to errors in addressing the tree names in JAPAN output.
